As you must have heard, the Financial Conduct Authority ("FCA") has issued policy statement entitled PS 20/10 ("PS"). The PS prohibits the sale, promotion and distribution of crypto derivatives (including CFDs) and crypto ETNs, and basically of every financial instruments referencing crypto assets or having crypto assets as their underlying asset. The aforementioned policy came into force on the 6th of January 2021 and is therefore enforceable by the FCA. According to the PS, you will not be allowed to promote CFDs or any other financial products based on Cryptocurrencies in the UK or to UK residents.
Therefore, we hereby prohibit the dissemination of any marketing materials relating to the distribution of CFDs and other financial products based on Cryptocurrencies and which are addressed to UK residents. If not done already, you are required to take any and all appropriate actions to comply with the PS immediately. If you need any assistance or clarifications, please contact your account manager.
